A blog by ordinary people about living an extraordinary life
So I am sitting on the couch after tonights workout, watching The Biggest Loser. It is the season premiere, and this seasons theme is no excuses. The teams were just selected, and while the competitors arrive on campus as couples, they will be competing on the opposite teams.
We should all take the theme of no excuses and put it to task this year. There should be no excuses for getting some sort of workout in 3-4 times a week. There should be no excuses for not eating healthy. There should be no excuses for doing the best you can to be the best person you can be every day. Later this week I will be posting my New Years resolutions, and there will be no excuses for not reaching them.
Of course right now they are looking at MRI scans, which is very cool (because I am an imaging nerd, it is what I do every day). I am amazed by the advances in medicine, but realize there is so much to staying healthy that is personal. Each of the competitors on this show have a story, many of which bring me to tears. Being able to learn how to overcome the issues that have caused them to gain this weight and ultimately become the people they want to be, as cheesy as I think this show can be, is amazing to watch. Back to some TV watching, just gotta do it.
