A blog by ordinary people about living an extraordinary life
As you know, Meghan and I have given up eating beef, pork and chicken. We have become somewhat “veganish,” as Meg only recently started eating fish. In fact, we are still trying to find more fish that she likes. Her first real restaurant fish meal was sushi, her choice to go there that night, and this is still the manner she prefers her fish.
My sister posted an article on my Facebook page today, and I wanted to share it. It is from Mark Bittman of the New York Times. He discusses the idea of veganism, and how we could all stand to have a little vegan in us, even if it is one night a week. I have heard and read about the idea of “Meatless Mondays” and having been a lifelong carnivore and given up beef, I can certainly say we can all survive taking one meat dish out of our diets a week.
I found it to be an interesting quick read, and it might challenge you to add this to your list of New Year’s Resolutions (mine will be posted sometime this week I hope, still working on coming with a few more items). So check out Mark’s article, and check out his blog if you haven’t already, I guarantee you will learn something new from him, and maybe something new about yourself. And isn’t that a great resolution for the new year?
