OK, so if you get through the Chest and Back workout, a bonus workout awaits: Ab Ripper X. Remember when you hated doing sit-ups during gym class? Well, I do. But once you do Ab Ripper X, those gym sit-ups don’t seem so bad. The worst part of this workout is that it comes after you have already killed yourself with a strength workout. Now you have to “dig deep” and “bring it,” two of Tony’s favorite catchphrases.
The workout is 11 abdominal exercises with 25 reps for each one, and of course a few bonus reps at the end. I have to admit that I do not have 6-pack abs, but I certainly feel like my core is much stronger.
My favorite quote from this workout is “everybody gets their hands off the floor” before starting the crunchy frog sit-ups. The first time I did this workout I was laying flat on the floor by this point.
